Dimitar Stefanov graduated from the Faculty of Law of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” in 2021. He is currently a PhD student in Civil Procedural Law with a topic of his dissertation: “Grounds for annulment of effective court decisions under Art. 303 of the Civil Procedure Code” at Veliko Tarnovo University “St. St. Cyril and Methodius”.

He started working at Georgiev, Todorov & Co. Law Offices as a junior attorney at law in September 2022.

Before joining the law firm, Dimitar worked as a jurisconsult and legal associate in the period 2017-2021 at another law firm, where he focused on contract law, civil procedure, labor law, sports law, immigration legal matters. He was also an intern of the Fulbright Program at Sofia District Court for a period of nine months, and during the internship program he worked together with judges, drafting court acts – decisions and rulings.

In 2020, he took part of an Arbitration Training at the Arbitration Court of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, where he acquired additional knowledge about the nature of arbitration, arbitration agreements, jurisdiction, proceedings, decisions, as well as alternative methods for resolving private law disputes.

In July 2022, he went through a one-week course on arbitration, organized by ELSA Switzerland in the city of Geneva. In the course of the program, lectures were given by leading practitioners in the field of various topics, including sports arbitration, investment arbitration, intellectual property arbitration, arbitration proceedings, etc.

In addition to his legal knowledge, Dimitar is fluent in English, having obtained Cambridge English Level 2 – Certificate in ESOL International First (C1). He gained additional knowledge of specific legal terms after successfully completing a legal English course in 2021, organized by the Bulgarian Legal Association of the International Development Law Organization with headquarters in Rome (IDLO).

At “Georgiev, Todorov and Co”, he focuses mainly in the field of civil and administrative procedure, commercial and labor law.
