Dobrina Pavlova graduated with a Master’s degree in Law from the New Bulgarian University in 2009. She joined the team of Georgiev, Todorov & Co Law Offices in May 2020. Prior to that, Dobrina had experience as Head of the Energy and Capital Markets Department at another leading law firm. While working there, she is the main contact for clients operating in the field of trade and production of electricity, the lawyer responsible for all activities in the sector from construction and commissioning of energy facilities to licensing and registration of a regulated and free electricity market, as well as for balancing and stock trading.
Dobrina also has extensive experience in corporate and commercial law, representing both clients from the public sector and private companies from different industries. She has participated in numerous conferences and round tables with the Government and representatives of the European Union on various topics in the energy sector. The leading producer of bio vegetables Gimel Organic and the biggest hotel chain in Bulgaria – Albena, are among the clients which Dobrina currently consults. Dobrina also consulted producers of energy from renewables energy sources with regard to special pledges in Bulgaria securing loans for EUR 95 million and EUR 48 million, granted by the China Development Bank.

Since 2012, she is a member of the Burgas Bar Association.
Dobrina Pavlova was recognized by the independent international legal directory Legal 500 as a recommended lawyer in the fields of Banking, Finance and Capital Markets, as well as Commercial, Corporate and M&A in 2021. She is recommended for her ‘diligence and precision’ and for her ‘excellent knowledge‘ of licensing, contracts and trading procedures in Energy and Natural Resources by the independent international legal publication Legal 500 for 2022.
She is also the contributor to the article “Liberalization of the Bulgarian Energy Market: Process in Progress” in the leading publication for Central and Eastern Europe – CEE Legal Matters.
