Vladimir Ivanov has graduated one of the most prestigious universities in France and Europe – La Sorbonne, with specialization in the area of European Business Law and International Economical Law and an emphasize on International Criminal Law. In 1997 he also received a Master Degree in Law in Bulgaria. Since 1999 he is a lawyer at the Sofia Bar Association, and since 2000 – a lawyer also at the Paris Bar. 

Vladimir’s professional experience prior to joining Georgiev, Todorov & Co.’s team includes positions as Head of the Law Department at the publishing house Ciela Norma, Chief Legal Consultant of Program FAR’s project “The compatibility of the state aid with the legislation of the EU”, as well as a lawyer in Landwell & Partners, France.

Vladimir represents clients in criminal cases before national courts, as well as in France on criminal and commercial cases, in disputes with the French tax administration regarding taxes and fees due for the activities of Bulgarian companies on French territory, as well as before the European Court of Human Rights.

French-speaking Clients Department: In Georgiev, Todorov & Co., Vladimir leads the department “Francophone Clients”, which aims to meet the specific needs of French and French speaking clients and to support them for their business activity and projects in Bulgaria. This department also advises Bulgarian companies and natural persons, who want to invest or settle in France.

Vladimir is the Vice President of the French-Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce, which Georgiev, Todorov & Co. joined in 2004 to actively provide assistance to the French community in Bulgaria.

He has been recognized by the prestigious international publication Who’s Who Legal as a Global Leader for 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022 in Competition Law.
