Arno Mamasyan joined Georgiev, Todorov & Co. Law Offices shortly after it was established. He is a Senior Partner and specializes in Civil Litigation and Arbitration, Corporate and Commercial Law, Property Law, and Privatisation. He graduated from Sofia University ‘St. Kliment Ohridski’, Faculty of Law and is registered with the Sofia Bar Association. Prior to joining the team of the law firm, he was the chief privatisation expert in the Ministry of Industry (currently Ministry of Economy) from 1993 to 1994. He has drafted a legal opinion for the legal status of the privatization in Bulgaria for the catalogue “Center for International Legal Studies”.

His practice includes participation in projects of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), European Stability Mechanism, and the Bulgarian Telecommunication Company. He was a legal adviser of Sofia Municipality for the project for issuing eurobonds and prepared the due diligence report in relation to the privatization of Pharmachim Holding.

Arno has successfully advised clients in various fields on their investment in a local companies, as well as on their licensing regime, their gas imports and exports. Key clients such as Dundee Precious Metals, Chelopech Mining,  AG Capital, Bulgarian Stock Exchange, Road Infrastructure Agency, International Asset Bank, Forton International also rely on his legal expertise. He has represented DSK Bank and AstraZeneca in various cases, as well as ENEL for the large project for the construction of the Thermal Power Plant Maritza East 3.

He is the current legal advisor of both private and public enterprises. In the field of corporate and commercial law, Arno consults Grand Energy Distribution, Heating Power Plants Ruse and Maritza 3, Black Peak Capital, Galchev Engineering, Borica, Ciela, and Hill Clinic. He is also the leading litigator in high profile matters for the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, Aurubis Bulgaria, Asarel Medet, Kornikom, Advance Properties, and Balkam Group.

He is listed in the Register of Industrial Property Representatives for Inventions, Utility Models and Trademarks.

Arno Mamasyan is an arbitrator in the court of Arbitration with the Confederation of Employers and Industrialists in Bulgaria (CEIB) since 2017.

In 2022, Arno is recognised for a consecutive year by the prestigious international publication Legal 500 for a Leading Individual in Dispute Resolution. He is also recommended for his expert knowledge in the sectors Banking, Finance and Capital Markets, Commercial, Corporate and M&A, Energy and Natural Resources, EU and Competition, Intellectual Property and Projects and PPP.
